The Audit Committee reviews the financial affairs of the Association on at least an annual basis. Its primary function is to assist the board in fulfilling its oversight responsibilities with respect to (1) the audit or independent review of ILTVA®‘s books and records and (2) the system of internal controls that the board has established.
The Policy Committee comprised of voting Directors, recommends actions not pertaining specifically to LTV products which are the specific responsibility of individual Divisions but pertaining across all LTV product lines. E.g., the Policy Committee would be responsible for resolving conflict between PTV and LSV Division Boards’ or committees’ recommendations or decisions respecting standards or specifications for on road LTVs.
The Engineering Committee is responsible for the drafting and revision of the two ANSI/NGCMA standards preparatory to their submission for canvassee voting and the policies and procedures published by ILTVA®. The Committee receives other assignments from the ILTVA® Board and its work is subject to the Board’s approval. The Committee’s composition historically has included both engineering representatives of the ILTVA® members and independent experts in areas necessary for the work of the Committee. ILTVA®‘s General Counsel attends all meetings of the Committee.
Committee members historically have given unselfishly of their time to ensure the standards and guidelines are accurate, current and of practical use to golf car and LTV owners and operators. ILTVA® has been gratified and the industry has benefited from the Committee leadership which over the years has included Don Samuelson (now deceased), Chuck Fain of Club Car, Joe Lang (now deceased) of E-Z-GO Textron, Ken McClymonds, P.E., formerly of Club Car, George Land, P.E., formerly Vice President, Engineering, Club Car, Inc., Kent Bruntz, formerly of E-Z-GO Textron, Brad Hanson, E-Z-GO Textron, Geoff Stewart, P.E., C.R.E. and presently,Ken Fisher, Yamaha Motor Corporation USA.
